That's good new, traditionally defensman are harder to develop then forwards (RJ straight up does seem loopsided) .

Hopefully , Torts doesn't screw him up psychologically .

How good? On a scale of 1-10, with 1 being a third pair guy about to be waived and 10 being Norris candidates, I would say Jones was a 7 last year. The good news is his upside probably gets to the 8-9 range, having seen him quite a bit.

Why does Columbus do that? They're also kinda set at RHD with Jones, Savard, Goloubef, and Prout. At LHD they're looking at Murray and Johnson with Werenski coming in. I doubt they're in the market for a Dman like Trouba.

Yeah, there is absolutely no reason to trade Jones IMO (Unless they were offered something they couldn't turn down). I only said that because I'm sick of hearing about Trouba possibly wanting out of Winnipeg ...
